چکیده

Background
Ficus religiosa, commonly known as peepal, is widely distributed in Indian subcontinent. It has been used an antiepileptic, aphrodisiac, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and laxative traditional medicine.
Objective To explore the analgesic effect of aqueous root extract religiosa using thermal chemical models pain swiss albino mice.
Method The aerial was prepared soxhlet apparatus. anti-nociceptive at doses 50 100 mg/kg evaluated peripheral (acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing), spinal (tail flick) supra-spinal (hot plate) behavioral pain. All data were presented Mean ± SEM. Statistical differences between (50 mg/kg) standard control groups Mann-Whitney U test.
Result There significant dose dependent increase mean reaction time compared to vehicle hot plate tail- flick test. In acetic acid induced writhing test, mice treated with exhibited dose-dependent decrease number writhes (57.45% 79.20% respectively) control. activity equipotent Standard (Morphine Indomethacin) different test models.
Conclusion possesses both central thus validating use this plant management

Analgesic Activity of Phyllanthus lawii Extract in Swiss Albino Mice

The analgesic activity of the methanol extract of Phyllanthus lawii (MEPL) was investigated in Swiss albino mice with hot plate and acetic acid induced writhing models. The results suggested that MEPL possess potent analgesic activity. The MEPL produced a significant decrease in mice writhing induced by acetic acid suggesting peripheral analgesic activity and elevated mean basal reaction time i...
